WORLDS COLLIDING: THE FUTURE OF DANCE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Keys-Arenas Dance Trust is pleased to announce the recipients of the first Keys-Arenas Dance Awards. The Trust has been established to honour the life and work of dance teacher, performer and choreographer, Guillermo Keys-Arenas (1928-2006).

Three choreographers have been selected to create new works and stage them for the general public. The recipients are Tammi Gissell, Melisa Gowen and Airagdin Pavon More (El Moro). The three new dance works will be showcased at the Parade Theatre, NIDA, on Saturday 10 September 2011 at 8pm in a programme entitled WORLDS COLLIDING.

The Keys-Arenas Dance Trust was established in 2008 in accordance with Mr. Keys-Arenas final wishes, founded on funds left from his Estate bequeathed for this purpose. Guillermo Keys-Arenas wished to provide assistance to promising Australian professional dance artists to further their skills and careers. The Dance Awards will be offered periodically to professional dancers or choreographers in any form of theatrical dance.

Welcome to our new website!

We are pleased to announce the recipients of the first Keys-Arenas Dance Awards. These Awards have been set up to honour the life and work of much respected dance teacher, performer and choreographer, Guillermo Keys-Arenas. Three choreographers have been selected and will be given the opportunity to create new works and showcase them for the general public.
